Support Kolbe Academy
Day of Giving Success!
President John Kennedy once said, “We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.”
I hope I can convey that message successfully with these words. In our first Day of Giving Campaign, we successfully met our goal to raise $2,000 and then something special happened…more donations came in! We were ready to announce our total and a donor provided one last donation to push the campaign’s total to $3,000 donated to Kolbe Academy!
Amazing, isn’t it? In the short time that I have been at Kolbe Academy, I am continually overwhelmed by the generosity of others. We are all so grateful.
We specifically chose Valentine’s Day for a Day of Giving. Earlier in the morning, one of our students, Trent, asked why we were having this special day. When I explained, he looked a bit surprised and asked why people would give to help the school when they didn’t necessarily have students at the school. I told him because people are genuinely good and care about him and that we chose Valentine’s Day as a way to express that sentiment. He thought that was pretty special.
Every gift will make a difference. Each gift will be directly used to support Trent and his classmates and their recovery. It will provide a fresh start, a new reason to recover, succeed, and transform into the best version of themselves.
Our hearts are so grateful for YOU! Thank you for your support!
There are many ways to support the students at Kolbe Academy!
St. Maximillian Kolbe said, “A single act of love makes the soul return to life.” We invite you to consider how a personal gift of your time, prayers, and support can make a difference in the lives of these students seeking to win their battle of addiction.
Kolbe Academy depends on the generosity of its donors to keep the school affordable to so many in need. While sponsored by the Diocese of Allentown, tuition rates are not sufficient to cover all of the costs of this specialized school. We are blessed by the generosity of so many who have given the gift of their time, talent, and financial resources to support this endeavor.
Give to the Annual Fund!
Your tax-deductible gift would go a long way in assisting our families as they sacrifice to make a Catholic education possible, by helping us keep tuition affordable, keep our facilities up-to-date, keep our technology current, and keep our school the loving, safe, faith-filled environment it is. It’s easy to contribute to our Annual Fund. No gift is too small. May God bless you for your generosity! Gifts by check should be made payable to the school and sent it to the address below. Please do not send cash through the mail. We will be happy to issue a receipt for your gift.
Consider a Matching Gift!
Many companies and corporate foundations match gifts to nonprofit institutions. Matching gifts are a great way to increase support for the school without additional out-of-pocket expense. Matching gifts are a very important source of support. You may be eligible to submit matching gift claims from both your own and your spouse’s employer for the same gift. Contact the human resources office at your employer, your spouse’s employer, or even your former employer, if you are retired, to inquire about their matching gift program.
Participate in a Tax Credit Programs! (EITC/OSTC/SPE)
Are you a business owner? Does your business pay PA State Taxes? Would you prefer to direct those tax dollars to Kolbe Academy to provide student scholarships for families that could not otherwise afford a Catholic education for their children? Then EITC/OSTC is for you! Who can participate? Corporations (C and Sub S), Partnerships, LLC’s – any business entity except sole proprietorship can participate. Instead of paying taxes to the state, your business makes a contribution through EITC/OSTC, and receives a 90% tax credit (for a two year commitment). Your contribution can also be deducted from your Federal and state taxes.
